HOLO-FEST 2.0: You asked and we answered! After the resounding success of 2024’s HOLO-Fest 3 Day World Music Fun-Raising Festival, we are finally doing it again July 31st-August 2nd! Three days of high quality music in beautiful Big Sur, CA at the amazing Henry Miller Memorial Library…one of the coolest venues anywhere!
HOLO-FEST 2.0 features Dave Holodiloff’s 17th Annual Jerry Garcia Big Sur BDAY Bash: Enjoy an “Acoustic Afternoon” followed by an “Electric Evening” in addition to a long awaited return of the beloved “Balkan String Projekt” and the always entertaining “Hot Club Holo” + Friends! Get ready for a full weekend of amazing and diverse music in beautiful Big Sur, CA!
Continuing on in the charitable spirit of the 2024 HOLO-FEST, which began as a 3 day World Music Fun-raising Festival for Dave’s medical fund due to some serious health challenges and surging medical bills he was facing, HOLO-FEST 2.0 ticket sales will directly benefit the 501c3 non-profit Henry Miller Memorial Library. Additionally, Dave will be donating half of all gross merchandise sales including hats, hoodies, beanies, T-shirts, and CDs to The Arts Council for Monterey County. A silent auction of various items and services will run throughout the duration of the festival with all silent auction proceeds donated to Arts Council For Monterey Bay. Furthermore, attendees are welcome to make in person or online donations to the Henry Miller Library and Arts Council For Monterey County at the event (links below).
Friday 7/31/26 @ 7pm: Balkan String Projekt - Back for the first time in over a year! Enjoy the incredible music and dances of the Balkans with Dave Holodiloff’s unique mandolin driven interpretations of both classic and obscure songs of the vast region. Pulling from his extensive repertoire and various Balkan String Projekt albums of Romani classics, complex Bulgarian rhythms, popular Greek favorites, and everything in between, this is a not to be missed night of song and mandolin string magic. The all star band will feature Elijjah McCullar (oud, violin, bouzuki), Big Sur and Bay Area Dancers, plus some special surprise guest musicians!

This year’s all star acoustic ensemble also features well known members of California acoustic roots Grateful Dead Tribute jam bands Painted Mandolin (Dan Robbins - bass) and Old and In The New Way (Elijjah McCullar - fiddle). Three days of high quality music in beautiful Big Sur, CA at the amazing Henry Miller Memorial Library…one of the coolest venues anywhere!
HOLO-FEST 2.0 features Dave Holodiloff’s 17th Annual Jerry Garcia Big Sur BDAY Bash: Enjoy an “Acoustic Afternoon” followed by an “Electric Evening” in addition to a long awaited return of the beloved “Balkan String Projekt” and the always entertaining “Hot Club Holo” + Friends! Get ready for a full weekend of amazing and diverse music in beautiful Big Sur, CA!
Continuing on in the charitable spirit of the inaugural HOLO-FEST, which began as a 3 day World Music fundraising festival for Dave’s medical fund due to some serious health challenges and surging medical bills he was facing, HOLO-FEST 2.0 ticket sales will directly benefit the 501c3 non-profit Henry Miller Memorial Library. Additionally, Dave will be donating half of all gross merchandise sales including hats, hoodies, beanies, T-shirts, and CDs to The Arts Council for Monterey County. A silent auction of various items and services will run throughout the duration of the festival with all silent auction proceeds donated to Arts Council For Monterey Bay. Furthermore, attendees are welcome to make in person or online donations to the Henry Miller Library and Arts Council For Monterey County at the event (links below).

Enjoy the incredible music and dances of the Balkans with Dave Holodiloff’s unique mandolin driven interpretations of both classic and obscure songs of the vast region. Pulling from his extensive repertoire and various Balkan String Projekt albums of Romani classics, complex Bulgarian rhythms, popular Greek favorites, and everything in between, this is a not to be missed night of song and mandolin string magic. The all star band will feature Elijjah McCullar (oud, violin, bouzuki), Big Sur and Bay Area Dancers, plus some special surprise guest musicians!
